Manage Service Accounts

Service Accounts in Fortifi can be used to Integrate Fortifi via API to your domain, CRM or other 3rd party applications.

Whenever attempting to use the Fortifi API either via an integration with a 3rd party application or by Developers trying to directly add or amend information in Fortifi, you will be required to put in Service Account details to authorize that action.

It's recommended to have a separate Service Account for each application or team using the API so you can easily track changes and these are accountable.

To Create a Service Account in Organisation Settings on the Organisation page click on Service Accounts:

This will list out any existing Service Accounts and provide the option to Create a Service Account:

Enter a name for this Service Account that will differentiate it in audit records in Fortifi for all users, for instance for a Development Team API account this might be called "Development API". Once you have entered a name click on Create Service Account and the Service Account will be listed. There will be a View icon against this Service Account:

Clicking the View icon will display a light box with links to the Service Account Credentials of the API User, API Key and Organisation FID:

You can click on each of these Credentials to copy the value of that credential, allowing you to then paste it into the application requiring authorization for the API.
